Before you begin the online submission form, please ensure you have all the appropriate information and documents you need to complete the online submission in one sitting.
You will need the following for your submission:
- Parish name, address, phone, and email
- Name and email of clergy (if parish has settled clergy)
- Name and email of both wardens and treasurer
- Identified primary contact (clergy, warden, or treasurer)
- A description of your planned project & how it will enhance the life of the parish
- Loan term requested
- Certification of Vestry meeting, including resolution and vote to encumber with loan
In addition you will need…
Good Standing Status
As noted previously, Property Improvement Grants are open to parishes in Good Standing and ECCT is ready to help your parish into Good Standing so that you can receive a Property Improvement Grant.
Be prepared to indicate your parish’s current Good Standing status. If your parish is currently not in Good Standing based on the criteria below, please be prepared to indicate which items are “Complete”, “In Process”, or “Needs Attention.”
- Annual Parochial Report submitted by March 1.
- Creation Care Parish Survey submitted by March 1.
- Annual Parish Survey submitted by June 30.
- Annual Parish Audits or Review submitted by September 1.
- Current on Common Mission Support, Property & Casualty and Group Life & Dental insurance, pension payments to Church Pension Fund for clergy or lay employee retirement plans.
- Parish endowments invested and managed in accordance with ECCT (IV.2.a) and The Episcopal Church’s (I.7.1.b) Canons.

Additional Information & Documents Needed
- Total Project Cost (estimated)
- Copy of your parish’s current Operating Budget, including year-to-date information
- Certification of Vestry meeting, including resolution and vote to encumber with loan
- Any other parish financial data you would like taken into consideration
- A current ACH and W9 on-file with ECCT (please update if your bank account information has changed in the last calendar year)
