Yale Divinity School - Old Refectory
409 Prospect St.
New Haven, CT 06511

Join us Wednesday, December 5th for a free Lunch and Lecture in the Old Refectory at Yale Divinity School. Yale Youth Ministry Institute is proud to present our third Lunch + Lecture of the Fall semester, a part of the Joy and Adolescent Faith and Flourishing Series. This afternoon's lecture will feature Miroslav Volf, the Henry B. Wright Professor of Systematic Theology at Yale Divinity School and the Founding Director of the Yale Center for Faith and Culture, and Mr. Gorrell, a poet, and Founder and Director of Peace Right Here. They will deliver a lecture entitled, "Forgiveness and Joy."

Lecture topic:
If you have seriously wronged someone, it is a joyous thing to be told: “It’s OK. I don’t count it against you!” But is there joy in offering apology and in restoring a measure of what your wrongdoing has taken away? And if you yourself have been wronged, is there joy in forgiving? Is not revenge – “sweet revenge” – more joyful than forgiveness?
