Concert at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, January 27th at 4 pm!

In celebration of a new project at St. Matthew’s, we are excited to bring The New Baroque Soloists to our wonderful space for a festive concert of music and education. The New Baroque Soloists offer audiences an exciting new presentation of baroque chamber music, rich in the voices of woodwinds, brass, and stringed instruments. The group offers a varied repertoire, including popular works by well-known composers as well as premieres from the group’s proprietary repertoire, compiled through twenty years of research and performance. This group of world-class performers presents their concerts in an informative yet enjoyable manner, suitable for people of all ages. St. Matthew's Church is located at 36 New Canaan Road here in Wilton (on the WEPCO campus.)

This event is sponsored by the new Ian Havens Harleman Music Appreciation Fund. The following words come from Ian’s father, Robert Harleman. “Ian was a lifelong resident of Wilton and parishioner of St. Matthew’s. He was passionate about music and always reached out to others, especially those younger. The funds raised in his honor reflect his passion for music and his family is pleased that they can be used to benefit St. Matthew’s and its music program”. This fund will be used for educational opportunities for our choir members, continued work in the Royal School of Church Music Voice for Life program, children’s concerts, and other opportunities to bring music to the young people of Wilton and beyond.

The Adult Choir, the Youth Choir, and the Choir of Boys & Girls of St. Matthew’s will perform a few Baroque favorites with the group in this brilliant concert. To continue with the philosophy of bringing music and music education to children, all young people can attend for free. A donation amount of $20 is suggested. For more information, please contact St. Matthew’s Director of Music, Fiona Sutherland at A reception will follow where all can meet and greet with the musicians.
