Cappel is active in helping faith communities engage care for creation with their whole mission, worship and community life.

Dr. Robert “Robin” Gottfried, is Executive Director of the Center for Religion and Environment and Professor Emeritus of Economics at Sewanee: The University of the South. Gottfried and Cappel will share their insight from working at the intersection of faith and creation care, along with ways that congregations might celebrate good news for all creation through advocacy, worship, church life and spirituality. We are faced with a crisis in both faith and the environment, and Cappel and Gottfried will share with us ways the Church might more fully engage in finding a way forward.
