A collaboration with the Cesare Barbieri Endowment for Italian Culture, Austin Arts Center, Art History Program, and Department of Music.

“One day, my father came home with a shoebox filled with old, compacted, mysterious letters…”—this is how we meet on stage Andrea di Robilant, the acclaimed author of the international best seller Un Amore Veneziano (A Venetian Affair). This production is an original pastiche that fuses music, literature, theater, and the visual arts. Enhanced by music of the period, this true love story leads us through 18th-century Venice, where Giustiniana and Andrea, secret lovers, defy the laws of the time to live their love story openly and freely.

Venice Music Project, co-founded by Trinity alumna Liesl Odenweller, is revolutionizing historic and artistic preservation efforts in Venice by finding new ways to transmit the culture and history of the city while helping to maintain its arts and heritage to the level of excellence that will ensure that the city remains alive for present and future generations.

In addition to the performance in the Chapel, VMP’s residency at Trinity will include workshops and presentations with students in music and art history.

Free admission, donations accepted.
