"A JOURNEY" Musical One-Woman Show written and performed by Kimberly Wilson

Renowned actress, singer, and director Kimberly Wilson will perform “A JOURNEY” Musical One-Woman Show at Trinity Episcopal Church in Southport , CT on Saturday, October 10th at 3:00 pm.

This special event will be held outdoors on Trinity’s front lawn with extensive social distancing measures in place. All are invited to attend this FREE, one-of-a-kind performance and no affiliation with the Church is required. The performance will also be streamed live on Trinity’s Facebook page.

“A JOURNEY” Musical One-Woman Show is an intricate look at the Black experience told through the eyes of the Black woman and performed by one woman, professional actress and singer Kimberly Wilson. Westport resident, Ms. Wilson skillfully tells of the struggles and influence of Black womanhood with strength, dignity and pride and in perfect lockstep with the history of the United States.

“A JOURNEY” Musical One-Woman Show brings to life eight historical African-American women, including and African Queen, a Slave girl, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Maya Angelou and more.

At the end of the presentation, Ms. Wilson will conduct a “talk-back” Q&A session. The program is suggested for ages 10 and up. There is no charge, however contributions supporting the church’s efforts are greatly appreciated.

COVID CONSIDERATIONS: To comply with federal, state, and local guidelines, social distancing measures will be put in place. All attendees must wear masks and be registered on EventBrite in advance for contact tracing purposes. Attendance at the event will be limited to 100. Attendees should also bring their own chairs for seating during the performance.
