Coming Home: A Hartford Collage
[Virtual] The Autorino Center for the Arts and Humanities
When long-time Hartford resident and composer David Macbride wrote his monumental soundscape of the city of Hartford for Cuatro Puntos Ensemble, no one knew it would become his final work. Coming Home is a 28 minute sound journey though Hartford’s parks, rivers, cafes, and neighborhoods. It has been set to a collage of work by creatives from all around the city. At this event you will witness the video premiere followed by a discussion among the participating artists.
The commission of this work was made possible by the Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation. The artists represented were curated with the assistance of the Greater Hartford Arts Council. The event is hosted by Cuatro Puntos, the Autorino Center for the Arts at the University of Saint Joseph, and the Greater Hartford Arts Council.
