Advocacy and support

The umbrella organization for advocacy and resources is Integrity-USA. There are two affiliates in ECCT, in Hartford and in Danbury. The Hartford chapter usually holds an annual  celebrations on the Feast of St. Aelred in January. Each chapter has resources and contacts.

Designating congregations as LGBT welcoming and inclusive

Believe Out Loud is a trans-denominational effort to identify LGBT-supportive Christians and churches and to encourage them to be vocal and visible in their support of LGBT persons in their communities and it is the official designation for a welcoming congregation that is registered with Integrity USA. The process for designation can be accessed here.Congregations in ECCT as of Jan. 2014 include:

  • Zion, North Branford
  • St. Paul's on the Green, Norwalk
  • Christ Episcopal Church, Norwich
