Special Needs Ministry

Topic: Rhythms of Grace / Worship for Families with Special Needs

Speaker: Linda L. Lippincott-Snyder

Parish/Organization: St. John’s Episcopal Church, Pine Meadow

Linda is the co-founder of Rhythms of Grace, an initiative to create worship experiences for those who don’t feel comfortable in a traditional worship experience. Rhythms of Grace began in 2003, when Linda L. Lippincott-Snyder and the Rev. Audrey Scanlan were both serving Trinity Episcopal Church in Torrington and received a call from a parishioner who had a son on the Autism Spectrum. He asked them to try and create a worship experience that he and his son could attend together as a family. So began the creation of Rhythms of Grace. Linda has over 25 years of experience in Christian Formation parish settings, a degree in education and over 10 years of experience working with children with special needs. Presently, she serves as Christian Formation Director at St. John's, Pine Meadow and also teaches children with special needs in one on one settings in Norfolk.
