Episcopal bishop’s decision in church dispute affirms reconciliation process
Bishop Douglas delivered his "godly judgment" at St. Paul's, Darien. In it he concluded that maintaining a relationship between the two parties is the faithful way to live into our unity as the Body of Christ. Canon Kovoor will remain as Rector.
Episcopal lay leaders attempt to take over church in Darien
The Rt. Rev. Ian T. Douglas, Bishop Diocesan of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut, and his staff learned tonight that some lay leaders of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Mansfield Avenue in Darien had called a locksmith to come earlier this afternoon to change the locks on the church without authorization, locking out the rector and effectively attempting to take over the church.

Rock of Angels memorial moving to Bristol
The “Rock of Angels” stone monument at the former St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sandy Hook will be moved to a new location in Bristol, Conn., this Wednesday, October 18. The granite monument memorializes the 20 children and 6 staff who died at the school in December 2012. The move was prompted by the church's decision in 2016 to close.
