Canon XVII: Repealing Former Canons

Section 1. Former Canons of the Diocese inconsistent with or not contained within these Canons are hereby repealed. All resolutions of the Annual Convention that are inconsistent with the provisions of these Canons are hereby repealed. These Canons may be amended by a majority vote of the Annual Convention.

Section 2. The Secretary shall make such changes in the numbering of Canons or Sections, or in references to Canons or Sections, as may be required at any time by resolutions or amendments to the Canons adopted by an Annual or Special Convention.

Section 3. Proposed amendments to the Constitution and Canons shall be submitted in writing to the Bishop and the President of the Standing Committee at least four (4) weeks before the opening of an Annual or Special Convention at which the amendments are to be proposed for adoption. A copy of the proposed amendment shall be distributed to the members before the Convention. The foregoing shall not apply to amendments proposed by any committee on Constitution and Canons appointed by an Annual Convention.
