Canon for Mission Advocacy, Racial Justice, and Reconciliation

The Canon for Mission Advocacy, Racial Justice, and Reconciliation will assist Episcopalians in Connecticut to effect God’s mission by pursuing wholeness, justice, and right-relationship especially in our commitment to dismantling systemic racism, white supremacy and anti-Black bias. Recognizing the intersectionality of racism and white supremacy, the Canon will also assist Episcopalians in Connecticut to participate in God’s mission through the care for the goodness of God’s creation; overcoming income inequality in our state and its related effects on health care and education; preventing gun violence; limiting the expansion of casino gambling in Connecticut; welcoming refugees and immigrants, and working for housing equity and affordability.
