St. James’ in Glastonbury will present Celtic Vespers on Sunday, November 13 at 7:30 PM. The traditional candlelight service includes prayers and readings reflecting nature and the presence of God. The service embraces traditions of Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales, all in a reflective setting.
Wild Notes will perform, a group known for their energetic and exuberant traditional acoustic music with roots in Irish, Scottish, French-Canadian and classical. Instruments include Celtic harp, concertina, accordion, fiddle, and flute, performed by Kasha Breau, John Kalinowski, and Mickey Koth. A choir of women will sing the Irish hymn, Be thou my vision, and a Celtic chant, Tar a thighhearna.
