In this two-day intensive workshop (for clergy) “participants will experience a humanistic process for laying a foundation to explore how we have been racialized, socialized, and conditioned to think about race and racism.” We will focus on what racism is, where it comes from, how it functions, why it persists, and what we can do to dismantle it by:
Analyzing Power
Recognizing Internalized Racial Oppression
Defining Racism
Understanding the Manifestations of Racism
Learning from History
Sharing Culture
Organizing to Undo Racism
**Please note: This is a two day series and attendance is required on both days.
