 VE SAFE CHURCH TRAINING is designed for ordained and lay people who have
  not yet attended a safe church training in the Episcopal Church in Conn
 ecticut (ECCT) or it has been more than 5 years since you have attended.
  This is a three hour in-person training with an online component being 
 completed before a certificate of completion is issued.\n Topics include
 :\n\n\n 	 Prevention\, identification and response to elder abuse\n 	 
 Prevention\, identification and response to sexual abuse of children and
  youth\n 	  The newly revised Diocesan Policy for the Protection of Chi
 ldren and Youth \n 	  Power and Boundaries in the ministerial relations
 hip with adults\n 	 The Diocesan response to misconduct within a commun
 ity of faith\n 	  Sexual Harassment· Guidelines for Ordained Ministry
  (many of which apply to lay ministry)\n\nECCT Safe Church Training is g
 rounded in our call to seek and serve Christ in all persons and respect 
 the dignity of every human being. This training provides an opportunity 
 to increase and enhance our ability to live out our Baptismal Covenant w
 ithin our communities of faith and in the world beyond. All adults enga
 ged in ministry in our diocese are welcome to attend safe church trainin
 g. There is no fee to attend. All training sessions are handicapped acce
 ssible unless otherwise indicated. Parish leadership should specify who 
 is required to attend safe church training from each parish.\n* Please n
