DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to gather for this day of celebration and no
 urishment as we build community to continue our work of creation justice
 . This Earth Day gathering will feature conversation with Debra Rienstra
 \, author of Refugia Faith\, coalition building conversations\, and a Wi
 ld Worship practice.\n\nDebra Rienstra’s most recent book is Refugia F
 aith: Seeking Hidden Shelters\, Ordinary Wonders\, and the Healing of th
 e Earth (Fortress 2022)\, a book that combines theology\, nature writing
 \, and biological principles to consider how Christians must adapt our f
 aith and practice for a climate-altered planet. She is professor of Engl
 ish at Calvin University\, where she has taught since 1996\, specializin
 g in early British literature and creative writing. Her forthcoming book
 \, Refugia Church\, will appear in 2027.\n\nLunch will be provided with 
 gluten free and vegetarian options available. There is no smoking on the
  campus\, and pets (although deeply loved) are invited to stay home. Ple
 ase register by April 1st. There is no fee to attend this event! A recor
 ding of Debra's address will be made available for registered attendees 
 after the event\, and there will be an online discussion of her presenta
 tion online on April 15th for those not able to attend in person.\nREGIS
