Margins and Movements is a new community book group for the New Haven area, hosted by St. PJ’s Episcopal Church. Monthly discussions of social-justice titles will be held in our parish hall (usually the last Tuesday of the month), free and open to all, with light refreshment.

Come if you’ve read the whole book, come if you listened to a few chapters as an audio book, and come if you didn’t get a chance to read at all but would still like to sit in community and hear from those who did!

  • Tuesday, August 26, 7pm: “On Tyranny” by Timothy Snyder
  • Tuesday, September 30, 7pm: “The Serviceberry” by Robin Wall Kimmerer
  • Tuesday, October 28, 7pm: “Queer and Christian” by Brandon Robertson
  • Tuesday, December 9, 7pm: “The Undocumented Americans” by Karla Cornejo Villavicencio

We will occasionally be joined by local community organizers representing organizations related to the theme of the month’s book, who can tell us about their work and how we can get involved.

Purchase titles at St. PJ’s Bookshop affiliate page here, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the parish and independent booksellers.
