SUMMARY:Sacred Journey to the Great Swamp
DESCRIPTION:On October 12 we will make a sacred journey to the site of t
 he Great Swamp massacre in Kingston\, RI\, where English colonists attac
 ked the winter settlement of the neutral Narragansett killing 300-600 me
 n women and children.  2025-2027 marks the 350th anniversary of King Phi
 lip's War\, and the Great Swamp massacre was one of the pivotal events i
 n that war.  We will gather at St Augustine's Episcopal Church at URI fo
 r orientation\, then carpool to the entrance to the site.  We will walk 
 a mile and a bit from the entrance to the marker where there will be tim
 e for meditation and story telling.  Following the visit we will carpool
  back to St Augustine's for lunch and discussion.  For more information\
