 ING is designed for ordained and lay people who have not yet attended a 
 safe church training in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut (ECCT) or it
  has been more than 5 years since you have attended. This is a three hou
 r in-person training with an online component being completed before a c
 ertificate of completion is issued.\n\nTopics include:\n\n 	 Prevention
 \, identification and response to elder abuse\n 	 Prevention\, identifi
 cation and response to sexual abuse of children and youth\n 	 The newly
  revised Diocesan Policy for the Protection of Children and Youth\n 	 P
 ower and Boundaries in the ministerial relationship with adults\n 	 The
  Diocesan response to misconduct within a community of faith\n 	 Sexual
  Harassment· Guidelines for Ordained Ministry (many of which apply to 
 lay ministry)\n\nECCT Safe Church Training is grounded in our call to se
 ek and serve Christ in all persons and respect the dignity of every huma
 n being. This training provides an opportunity to increase and enhance o
 ur ability to live out our Baptismal Covenant within our communities of
  faith and in the world beyond. All adults engaged in ministry in our di
 ocese are welcome to attend safe church training. There is no fee to att
 end. All training sessions are handicapped accessible unless otherwise i
 ndicated. Parish leadership should specify who is required to attend saf
 e church training from each parish.\n\n* Please note: You will receive a
  confirmation email after you have successfully registered. If you have
