 BELOW THOROUGHLY**\n\nCOMPREHENSIVE SAFE CHURCH TRAINING is designed fo
 r ordained and lay people who have not yet attended a safe church traini
 ng in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut (ECCT) or it has been more tha
 n 5 years since you have attended. This is a three hour in-person train
 ing with an online component being completed before a certificate of com
 pletion is issued.\n\nTopics include:\n\n 	 Prevention\, identification
  and response to elder abuse\n 	 Prevention\, identification and respon
 se to sexual abuse of children and youth\n 	 The newly revised Diocesan
  Policy for the Protection of Children and Youth\n 	 Power and Boundari
 es in the ministerial relationship with adults\n 	 The Diocesan respons
 e to misconduct within a community of faith\n 	 Sexual Harassment· Gu
 idelines for Ordained Ministry (many of which apply to lay ministry)\n\n
 ECCT Safe Church Training is grounded in our call to seek and serve Chri
 st in all persons and respect the dignity of every human being. This tra
 ining provides an opportunity to increase and enhance our ability to liv
 e out our Baptismal Covenant within our communities of faith and in the
  world beyond. All adults engaged in ministry in our diocese are welcome
  to attend safe church training. There is no fee to attend. All training
  sessions are handicapped accessible unless otherwise indicated. Parish 
 leadership should specify who is required to attend safe church training
  from each parish.\n\n* Please note: You will receive a confirmation em
