The Commission on Ministry (CoM) is a canonically established body that supports the ministry of all the baptized and has particular responsibility for the raising up and formation of ordained leaders for the Church.
Members are appointed by the Bishops and their appointments are ratified annually at Convention for a maximum of six consecutive years.
The CoM generally meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month with subcommittees meeting quarterly or as needed. Additionally, CoM members are expected to attend quarterly Leadership Gatherings, a once a year discernment retreat (typically in the fall), and a once a year Nominees, Postulants, and Candidates retreat (typically in the spring).
