Naomi Cunningham (she/her/hers)
Current role in ECCT: Youth Ministry Director at Trinity, Southport
Favorite liturgical season or day: Easter
“I’m excited to learn about and explore the wonderful things already taking place in ECCT and see how we grow youth and young adult ministries in the diocese.”

Elizabeth Rousseau
Current role in ECCT: Member of Standing Committee, Lay Deputy to The General Convention of The Episcopal Church, and member of Trinity, Hartford.
Favorite liturgical season or day: Easter Eve is my favorite day in the church calendar because Easter Vigil is our best service!
“I’m excited to identify and build resources and support for Young Adults in ECCT.”

The Rev. Ansley Walker
Current role in ECCT: Associate Rector, Saint Luke’s Darien
Favorite liturgical season or day: Palm Sunday: the joy and the drama
“Being Episcopalian means belonging to a community far larger than our own parish. I am excited to bring together our youth and young adults from across the diocese to connect, grow, and foster a true sense of community and belonging!”

Elyana (Youth Representative)
Current role in ECCT: Lector, acolyte, member of youth group, musician, and former co-head of stewardship committee at St. John’s, North Haven.
Favorite liturgical season or day: Easter
“Excitement in the YYA (Youth & Young Adult) ministry in ECCT – I am excited to help make the ministry thrive again and to see what is possible in terms of its future; I excited to see also how this ministry connects to others within the church.”

The Rev. Margie Baker
Current role in ECCT: Associate Rector at St. John’s, West Hartford.
Favorite liturgical season or day: All Saints (but my favorite service is the Easter Vigil).
“I’m excited about learning how youth and young adults are already being supported in ECCT and how to take those bright spots and use them to grow engagement and connection. I’m also excited because helping young people flourish is part of our work as Jesus followers. When we neglect youth and young adults in the church, we are failing to seek and serve Christ in all persons.”

David Rivera
Current role in ECCT: Parish Administration, St. Peter’s Milford
Favorite liturgical season or day: Easter.
“I am excited to have a voice at the table and bring my experience as a young adult. I want to see more youth and young adults in leadership positions across ECCT and the wider Episcopal Church.”

Maureen (Mo) Lucas
Current role in ECCT: Youth Director, St. Peter’s Milford
Favorite liturgical season or day: My favorite Holy Day is Pentecost due to the chaos, wonder, and inspiration I imagine took place. It truly feels like a youth ministry moment of discovery. I love the idea that such chaos can lead to action: trying on, sometimes failing, sometimes succeeding, and ultimately clarity of purpose in the Spirit.
“I am excited about this implementation team because it is working toward an important goal: young peoples’ involvement in not only the church, but in a faith that will sustain them through the highs and lows of their lifetime. I especially appreciate the involvement of actual youth and young adults in this process. It’s not simply a group of older folks deciding what next generations need – we are honoring their God-given voices, opinions, and dreams in the process.”

Theresa Greaves
Current role in ECCT: Co-convenor for parish outreach ministry, Church Street Eats, at Christ Church Cathedral, Hartford, and at Summer Music Camp and Wednesday Children’s Choir. Has also served on Cathedral Congregations Committee and Cathedral Chapter.
Favorite liturgical season or day: My most favorite liturgical season is Lent. I enjoy and relish in the time to slow down and really focus, reflect and dissect while drawing closer to the cross not only as an individual but as a community all in anticipation of the celebration of the resurrection.
“I am most excited that this process even exists! I am hopeful of everything that is to come of it. Youth and Young Adult ministry, the programs and people I have met have shaped my life formidably and I wish that for generations to come.”

Anna Engler
Current role in ECCT: Youth leader at St. Peter’s, Hebron.
Favorite liturgical season or day: Epiphany.
