I serve as deacon at All Saints/Todo Los Santos in Meriden and as a missioner at Trinity, Lime Rock reaching out to the Spanish speaking communities in the area. I currently am the convener for The Hispanic Ministry Network which represents eight churches currently doing ministries for the Latino/Hispanic community. We work together by sharing our gifts, successes and challenges.
Presently I am serving on the Commission on Ministries and involved in its curriculum subcommittee. I am a COM companion to a postulant for the priesthood. I was elected in last year’s convention to serve on Mission Council and fill an unexpired term and currently serving as a member. I am part of the Clergy of Color group in the diocese where I have an opportunity to connect with my sisters and brothers of African American, African Caribbean origin and working to grow diversity in this diocese.
President of the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Union of Black Episcopalians.
Verger & vestryman, Church of the Holy Spirit, West Haven.
Standing Committee Member – 2007 – 2012
I have been a member of St Paul’s, Brookfield for over forty years and served in many capacities there. Currently I am involved in the music ministry, am a member of a woman’s bible study and serve as a delegate to convention. Within the greater ECCT, I am co-convener of the Companions in Mission Ministry Network.
I’m a recently ordained priest who serves as assistant rector at St. James’s in West Hartford, a vibrant, inclusive, fun-loving, child-friendly community of faith that strives to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world. I also serve on the Camp Washington board. I am the clergy convener of the ECCT Community Garden Ministry Network, which encourages and support communities with starting vegetable-garden ministries to address food insecurity in their neighborhoods. Together, we facilitate, educate, and expand agrarian ministries as mission and discipleship around Connecticut. The food grown in these gardens goes to shelters, kitchens and myriad partners that help feed people who would not usually get access to fresh, unprocessed food. I have deep roots in ECCT, where I went through the ordination process and was ordained. I am also a graduate of Berkeley Divinity School at Yale and served as the executive director of Trinity Church Wall Street’s retreat center in West Cornwall for seven years before I was called to St. James’s last year.
