Clarification

Dear Colleagues,

In the recent invitation to the Clergy Retreat Quiet Day on March 13 (time stamp: 2/18/2025 at 1:45 PM), we included information about expectations for clergy gatherings that was unclear. Attendance at Clergy Retreat Quiet Day is not mandatory and you do not need to write for permission to be excused.

For future reference, you need only write to the bishops to be excused from Clergy Conference (May 19-20, 2025; optional early arrival on May 18) and Annual Convention (October 24-25, 2025).

Attendance at all other clergy-related events (Renewal of Vows, Clergy Days, Clergy Retreat, Clergy Camp, Regional Clergy Meetings/Clericus, etc.) is encouraged as you are able.

Our apologies for any confusion. We look forward to seeing many of you at the Clergy Retreat Quiet Day, and hold you in our prayers.

Join Bishop Jeff, Bishop Laura, and all your clergy colleagues for a time of rest, prayer, unstructured conversations, quiet time, and refreshment (and good food) at Camp Washington for
