MAKING CONVENTION AFFORDABLE
SPONSORSHIPS
It is our hope that cost will never prove to be a barrier for anyone attending any ECCT event, including Annual Convention. In order to continue to support our parishes and clergy for whom the cost of Convention may prove a hardship, we’re introducing Sponsorships; an easy way to donate and support our siblings in ECCT in covering the cost of Convention.
For those who are able, please consider one of the below sponsorships or consider adding an additional donation to help us continue to offset and reduce costs so that we can make all ECCT events, including Friday Night Event, affordable and accessible to all.
Meal at Convention, $30
Donate the cost of a person’s meal at Annual Convention.
Single Attendee to Convention, $95
Donate the cost of a delegate (lay or clergy) to attend Annual Convention
Parish Delegation to Convention, $285
Donate the cost of a parish delegation, including a clergy person and two lay delegates, to attend Annual Convention.

A SPECIAL INVITATION
SUPPORTING OUR SIBLINGS IN THE HOLY LAND
On the heels of the recent annual World Council of Church’s “World Week for Peace in Palestine and Israel,” many of us continue to look for ways to support our siblings in Christ who reside in the war-torn region of the Holy Land.
The Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem, under the leadership of Most Rev. Hosam E. Naoum, includes 28 parishes scattered across five separate countries or territories: Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Israel. It also owns and operates more than two dozen humanitarian institutions – schools, hospitals, clinics, centers for children with disabilities, and homes for the elderly in Palestine, Israel, Jordan, and Lebanon.
ECCT is invited to write letters, notes, or cards to the people of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem (EDJ). These letters and notes can be addressed to individuals (Dear Sibling in Christ; Dear Faithful Clergy) or to an entire parish (find the names of parishes in EDJ here). Hand-drawn pictures or coloring pages from our children to the children and adults of EDJ are also welcome!
Place your cards, notes, etc., in an envelope and address it, (i.e. Sibling in Christ, Faithful Clergy Person, Parish Name) and send it with your parish delegates to our 241st Annual Convention in Bristol, CT, on Oct. 24–25. Those attending Annual Convention in person will also have the opportunity to write notes during our two-days together on-site.
We will collect all the notes, including those written at Convention, and send them to EDJ to be distributed across the diocese.
If you have questions or would like additional information, contact the Rev. Stacey Kohl, Secretary of Convention & the Diocese at skohl@episcopalct.org.
REPORTS
Any Ministry Network, Task Force, or other affiliated ECCT group or ministry is welcome to submit a report to Convention. Reports must be no longer than 1,000 words in length. If your group’s report needs additional length, it may be submitted as a supplemental addendum to your report as a PDF or Word document via the form. Submit your report via ECCT’s website.
ELECTIONS
Nominations have closed for our open positions on the Standing Committee, Mission Council, and for our delegates to Province 1 and Deputies to The General Convention of The Episcopal Church.
Get to know our nominees for these leadership positions and see the submitted slates for other leadership bodies including the Camp Washing Board of Directors and Christ Church Cathedral Chapter.
TIME TO GET THE WORD OUT!
Digital Promotion space available at Annual Convention
- Are you part of a Ministry Network that would like to share more about what you’re up to?
- Does your parish have an exciting or unique event coming?
- Have you partnered with a local non-profit you’d like to see get a bit more attention?
ECCT is offering space on our main announcement screen during Convention to help you “get the word out.” Promotional slides will display as part of a rotation that will run throughout Convention in the main lobby of the Bristol Event Center on a large LED screen.
Contact the Rev. Stacey Kohl, Secretary of Convention & the Diocese, at skohl@episcopalct.org or 203-639-3501 ext. 117, to learn more and to have your slide added to the rotation.
