‹ Back to News

Congratulations and well wishes are in order for Canon Jasree Peralta, who will be leaving her position as ECCT’s Canon for Mission Communication & Media to accept the position of Communications Officer of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Yale School of Medicine. Jasree will begin her new role the end of October.

Of her time spent in ECCT Jasree said, “It’s been a bittersweet occasion having to say farewell to the community that is the Episcopal Church in Connecticut. These past three years have just flown by, and I am so excited for what’s to come for ECCT. I look forward to staying connected on what this wonderful community of faithful people will continue to inspire and implement in this state – and world – of ours.”

“Working with Canon Jasree over these past few months has been a great gift. Her contributions to the life of this Diocese are plentiful. I will miss her passion, creativity and keen insights.” said the Rt. Rev. Jeffrey W. Mello, Bishop Diocesan. “She will be a great asset to the School of Medicine at Yale, as she has been here.”

“Working with Canon Jasree has been an incredible experience! Her passion for justice, her strong collaborative leadership, and her deep wisdom have added so much to our common life in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut,” said the Rt. Rev. Laura J. Ahrens, Bishop Suffragan. “We, as a diocese, have broadened our ability to share God’s love because of her vision and kindness. I will miss her!”

Jasree will complete her last day as full-time staff of the Episcopal Church in Connecticut on October 21. She will continue to support ECCT staff during this transitionary time.

Join us in sending well wishes to Jasree!
