On Friday, May 31, The Commons will say goodbye to Trish Leonard, who will retire from her position as Administrator for Suffragan Bishop and Diocesan Events Facilitator. She is pictured here with the Rt. Rev. Dr. Laura Ahrens.

Trish began her work at The Commons in July 2022 and was the master coordinator of the calendar of the Rt. Rev. Dr. Laura Ahrens and many diocesan-wide events, including clergy conference. During her time with ECCT, Trish also served with other Bishops’ Executive Secretaries on the 2024 Province One BEST Conference planning team and then attended the conference from May 6-10, 2024.

Over the past few years, Trish has enjoyed the diversity of work in her portfolio as well as the support she has always received from Bishop Laura. Trish will particularly miss getting to work with a supportive and caring group of people on a daily basis.

When asked about her retirement plans, Trish said she looks forward to “keeping up with gardening, spending more time with family, walking and exercising more, organizing my house, and traveling!”

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Laura Ahrens, who has worked closely with Trish, says, “Serving at The Commons with Trish Leonard has been an absolute gift. She brings a heart and a deep faith to her work which has nurtured all of us. I will miss working with her at The Commons and I look forward to seeing what’s next for this remarkable saint of God.”

Notes to Trish can be sent directly to The Commons at 290 Pratt Street; Suite 52; Meriden, CT 06450.
