MAKING CONVENTION AFFORDABLE

It is our hope that cost will never prove to be a barrier for anyone attending any ECCT event, including Annual Convention. In order to continue to support our parishes and clergy for whom the cost of Convention may prove a hardship, we’re introducing Sponsorships; an easy way to donate and support our siblings in ECCT in covering the cost of Convention. For those who are able, please consider adding one or more Sponsorships to your registration:

If you prefer, you can also add an additional donation during checkout to help us continue to offset and reduce costs so that we can make all ECCT events affordable and accessible to all.

Clergy serving quarter-time or less who are not retired, including those serving on our supply list, are invited to register at a reduced rate using the code Clergy25.

We have reserved a block of rooms at local hotels, two on-site and one approx. 6 miles away, offering different discounted pricing and room types. Reserve your room.

DON’T MISS TRIVIA NIGHT AT ANNUAL CONVENTION

Friday, Oct. 24, 6:30–9 PM

Stick around after business closes Friday for our Friday Night Event: Trivia Night.

Enjoy dinner with friends new and old; featuring dinner stations including meat, chicken, and vegan sliders, street tacos, farm fresh veggies, artisian cheese & charcuterie, and the ever-popular pasta station; and of course some sweet treats to complete your meal.

After dinner, stick around, form a team, and dazzle other Convention-goers with your knowledge in a fun-filled, multi-round trivia competition led by our trivia master, the Rev. Adam Thomas.

Tickets to Dinner and Trivia Night are free!
Reserve yours at registration.

For those who are able, please consider adding an additional donation to help us continue to offset and reduce costs so that we can make all ECCT events, including Friday Night Event, affordable and accessible to all.

A central part of our work at Annual Convention is to consider resolutions from our ECCT community. Resolutions must be submitted by five members of Convention, in writing, along with explanatory comments of no more than 100 words, no later than September 26. Any resolutions submitted after this deadline will be considered only at the discretion of the Convention. A “Guidelines for Submitting Resolutions” handbook is available for download and will help you ensure your resolution follows ECCT content and formatting standards.

REPORTS

Any Ministry Network, Task Force, or other affiliated ECCT group or ministry is welcome to submit a report to Convention. Reports must be no longer than 1,000 words in length. If your group’s report needs additional length, it may be submitted as a supplemental addendum to your report as a PDF or Word document via the form. Submit your report via ECCT’s website.

NOMINATIONS & ELECTIONS

Anyone who wishes to stand for election to the Standing Committee or as a delegate to Province 1, or are interested in being nominated to Mission Council are encouraged to complete the nominee application form on ECCT’s website no later than September 26.

Do you know someone whose gifts, experience, and skills could benefit ECCT? Please help us by referring them!

Please note: Other bodies such as the Commission on Ministry, Ministry Network representatives to the Mission Council, Camp Washington Board, Cathedral Chapter, and Title IV Disciplinary Committee are nominated by the bishop and voted on at convention. If you would like more information on running for these positions or to be considered for nomination, please contact the Secretary of Convention & the Diocese.
