We write to you with some sad news about the death of the Reverend Chuck Baker. Information regarding his service can be found below. We give God great thanks for his life and his dedication to the life and ministry of The Episcopal Church in Connecticut. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Receive him into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen.

The Reverend Chuck Baker
October 10, 1944 – July 11, 2024
The Reverend Chuck Baker died on July 11, 2024. A current resident of Delaware, he served churches in ECCT.
Ordained to the priesthood in 1988 through the Diocese of South Carolina, the Rev. Baker served in various South Carolina churches as Priest-in-Charge before becoming the Rector of St. David’s, Gales Ferry, from 2000-2010. Rev. Baker also served at Trinity, Brooklyn, from 2012-2016, before moving to Delaware in retirement.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Church, 22 N. Union Street, Smyrna, Delaware. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Smyrna in his honor.
