We write to inform you of the death of The Reverend Robert Sireno. Information regarding his services can be found below. We give God thanks for his life and for his years of faithful ministry in The Episcopal Church in Connecticut. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Let Us Pray

Into your hands, O merciful Savior, we commend your servant, Robert Sireno. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, sheep of your own fold, lambs of your own flock, sinners of your own redeeming. Receive him into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen.

May the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.


Robert Sireno

September 23, 1936 – December 17, 2024

The Reverend Robert A. Sireno passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Marbridge Assisted Living & Memory Care in Cheshire. He was the husband of Barbara (Mohn-Palmquist) Sireno.

Robert was born September 28, 1936, in Danbury, CT. He served his country with honor and pride in the U.S. Navy. Robert was employed as a printer throughout his life and owned a printing shop in Meriden. In addition, he also worked with the AmeriCorp’s CT Prison Association Re- Entry Program. For over 35 years he volunteered with the Thresholds Program and the People Empowering People Program working with inmates in Connecticut prisons. He was a retired ordained deacon with the Episcopal Church for 24 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, in Robert’s name, can be made to The Greater Waterbury Interfaith Ministries, Inc.

The funeral service will be on December 26 at 10 AM at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 59 Main Street, Cheshire. Burial will be held in St. Peter’s memorial garden. There are no calling hours and the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire is assisting with arrangements.
