Join others from across ECCT for Presiding Bishop-Elect’s Investiture on Saturday, November 2

Christ Church Cathedral will welcome Episcopalians from across ECCT to the Cathedral House Auditorium on Saturday, November 2 for an Investiture Watch Party. Join our Bishops, our Cathedral Community, and other Episcopalians in our diocese for a morning and an early afternoon of food and community as we welcome Presiding Bishop-Elect Sean Rowe to his new call. Doors will open at 9:30 AM for diocese “Roll Call” videos and a light breakfast will be served. The service will run from 11 AM-1 PM.

ECCT’s Roll Call Video

Dioceses across The Episcopal Church were asked to a submit a “Roll Call” video to welcome our new Presiding Bishop to his roll. ECCT was one of the dioceses that submitted a video, which was filmed by the Reverend Mo Lederman (St. Peter’s, Cheshire). Debuting in the video is a collect written by Sarah Louise Woodford, Canon for Communications & Media, to commemorate the occasion.

A Collect for the Investiture of the Right Reverend Sean Rowe

“God of Creation, who calls to us in both endings and beginnings, we ask you to be with us and Presiding Bishop Rowe as we begin our shared ministry. Guide and support us in the days to come as we spread the Gospel, doing all things through the love of Jesus Christ, who calls us all to lay down our nets and to follow him. In your name we pray, Amen.”

Other Ways to Watch the Investiture

The 11 AM ET service will also be livestreamed on the church-wide event webpage and The Episcopal Church’s Facebook page. A special “roll call” featuring video greetings from nearly all dioceses, including ECCT, will precede the service beginning at 9:30 AM ET on those sites.
