The Episcopal Church in Connecticut is pleased to welcome the Reverend Jill Morrison as Director for Congregational Development & Networking. In this newly created position, she will serve with the Canon for Congregations & Transitions to support the work of ECCT’s regions and ministry networks.
The Rev. Jill Morrison originally hails from New Orleans, LA, and Katy, TX. She has long encountered God through the arts and The Episcopal Church, where the threads of beloved community and storytelling have shaped her ministry. She holds a B.F.A. in Theatre with a Minor in Religion from Texas Christian University, and an M.A. in Art and Religion from the Graduate Theological Union. She earned her M.Div. and Diploma in Anglican Theology at Yale Divinity School and Berkeley Divinity School. In 2023, she was ordained to the priesthood in ECCT.
The Rev. Morrison’s ministry partners with individuals and communities to name their identity in Christ and discern how God moves to create connection and belonging. Most recently, she has served as Priest-in-Charge at St. John’s, Waterbury, and Chaplain at St. Thomas’s Day School, New Haven. She has been a member of the Northwest Region Leadership Team, Mission Council, the Hispanic Ministry Network, Arts Ministry Network, and convenes The Episcopal Arts Center.
With gratitude for this call, the Rev. Morrison looks forward to partnering with congregations, ministry networks, and region leadership teams to strengthen existing ministries and imagine new possibilities.

The Rev. Morrison will begin her work at The Commons on August 26, 2025.
