ECCT is pleased to welcome the Reverend Suzanne Roberts, M.D., of the Diocese of Maine as Interim Canon for Transitions.
As ECCT’s search process for a Canon for Congregations & Transitions continues, the Rev. Suzanne has been working with the Rev. Cn. Tim Hodapp, who retires on December 20, to ensure both the continuity of leadership and the support of ECCT parishes in the transition process. After the Rev. Cn. Tim’s retirement, she will lead ECCT’s Congregations & Transitions office until a new Canon for Congregations & Transitions is hired in early 2025.
The Rev. Suzanne’s work will be remote and part-time. In particular, she will continue to walk with our congregations in transition and keep the department of Congregations & Transitions running. She can be reached at: sroberts@episcopalct.org
The Rev. Suzanne will continue to serve as the Diocese of Maine’s Transition and Deployment Officer where she oversees changes in clergy leadership as well as the clergy application process for positions in the diocese. She guides clergy and congregations through their times of transition and trains search committees, screens candidates, and creates letters of agreement.
We are glad that she will share her expertise with ECCT over the next few months and are grateful to the Diocese of Maine for collaborating with ECCT to make this interim canon position possible.
