Please describe your current involvement in the Episcopal Church in Connecticut using first person, narrative language.

I am a bi-vocational priest serving quarter-time at St. John’s Church in North Haven.

Please describe your current involvement in your local community and any wider community engagement using first person, narrative language.

In addition to being a priest, I am also a history and philosophy teacher for high school students, serving three-quarter-time. My roles as priest and teacher provide numerous ways to engage in service to the community in projects ranging from Pride Day events to camp clean-ups to tutoring young students. I am also a Course Support leader with the Ride for Mental Health Awareness.

Please provide a brief personal statement as to why you are suited to this position using first person narrative language.

After serving as a deputy to General Convention in 2015, I was selected by the President of the House of Deputies to serve on the Task Force on Provinces. The Task Force presented resolutions to General Convention in 2018 to improve the system of provinces by providing more flexibility in structuring their work through revision of the canons. After various and numerous positions as a lay leader in parish, diocesan, and TEC levels, I discerned a call to the priesthood and was ordained in 2018. I hope to bring my experience as a lay leader and now as a bi-vocational priest to the efforts of our province to develop church leaders in all types of ministry.
