Part-time Leader of Religious Education for Children

St. James Parish (Episcopal), Farmington, is seeking a caring, Christ-centered person to teach part-time in our Sunday School. The successful candidate will work with the pastor to create (or select) a curriculum for a Sunday School that is currently small. We serve children in elementary school grades in a single class. The Leader of Religious Education will prepare and teach each Sunday, occasionally creating a special Sunday lesson for Holy Days. The position will involve approximately two hours each Sunday morning and perhaps an additional two hours of preparation beforehand. There are no specific educational requirements, but the successful candidate must have some experience teaching and working with children. Personal and professional references are requested, and a background check is required (paid for by the church).
