Before you begin the online request form, please ensure you have completed the Region Entrepreneurial Fund Grant Training. In addition, be sure you have all the appropriate information and documents you need to complete the online submission in one sitting.
You will need the following for all applications:
- Participating Regions
- Participating Parishes, Worshipping Communities, and Ministry Networks names and addresses
- Primary Clergy contact name, email, and phone
- Primary Lay Person contact name, email, and phone
- Custodial Fund Manager parish and contact name, email, and phone
- REF Grant Reporter parish and contact name, email and phone
- Which type of grant you are applying for (Seed or Impact) and total amount requested
- A timeline including milestones
- A detailed budget
- Letters of reference or support from each participating parish, worshipping community, and/or ministry network
Before you begin, please consider the following and have responses prepared…
The Big Idea
- Describe in detail your “big idea,” and be specific about the need(s) that your entrepreneurial idea intends to address.
- How does your big idea build the capacity of those Christians working together in your region to join Jesus in his reconciling work?
- Where might the entrepreneurial idea lead five years out?
The Discernment Process
- Where and how did you hear God’s voice in your discernment process?
- Where and how did you hear the community’s voice in your discernment process?
- Share details about how you validated your big idea with the community? Include information from:
- Participating parishes and/or worshipping communities
- Region(s)
- Neighborhoods
- Allies and/or partners
- Etc.
- How did you refine your idea, given the feedback you received from the community and from the Spirit? How did it grow? Change?
- Share details about your Region/Community partners, beyond parishes and worshipping communities, and how they will be engaged with you as you move forward?
Qualifications, Capacity & Implementation
- Describe the qualifications, expertise, and/or tools your team brings to the table to undertake the “big idea.”
- Who will implement the various components of your “big idea?” Including directly identifying tasks and responsible personnel.
- Where do you anticipate challenges and how do you plan to address these?
