The Girls’ Friendly Society (GFS) of the United States of America is part of an international, faith-based organization for girls and women. We are a community serving through Christ.
Scope:
Our purpose is to support and encourage God’s mission of reconciliation and restoration among Spanish-speaking and culturally Hispanic/Latino people in the ECCT by sharing resources, advocacy, GFS-USA is an organization within the Episcopal Church and an affiliate organization of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) as well as a member of the World Council of GFS. The Girls Friendly Society was founded in London in 1875.
We believe in the value of each human being and the richness of a diverse community. GFS welcomes all girls and women of any age, race, religion and nationality.provides ministry to girls in a safe and accepting environment where Christ’s love is evident.
