The Rev. Patricia Jackson spent over 30 years as a Clinical Researcher ensuring that the antibiotics doctors prescribed meet FDA standards – that is, they are not only safe but also effective.
While working in the pharmaceutical industry, Pat took Holy Orders to become a Clergy in the Episcopal Church of Connecticut and was ordained a Deacon on September 15, 2007. She has served at Trinity Hartford and at Church of the Holy Trinity in Middletown. She is currently serving at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Meriden.
Pat’s diaconal passion is Pastoral Care, especially centered around support for the poor, the lonely, the sick, the housebound, and the marginalized both inside and outside the Church community. She is the Chaplain for our Retired Deacons whom she faithfully serves, thereby giving them the assurance that they are not forgotten.
Pat is anchored AND buoyed by her two sons together with their wives and her six grandchildren. She delights in the unwavering support she gets from her sister and her enmeshed family. Pat is also surrounded by a group of faithful friends whose love and counsel she relies on from time to time. Her mantra remains – “When and where the Spirit leads, I will follow!”
