Benefit Concert for Choral Scholarships to UConn Students.
Internationally renowned organist Diane Meredith Belcher will present a recital on the restored Brombaugh organ, op.21. Ms. Belcher will perform works by Bach, Buxtehude, and Sweelink including Bach’s Great Prelude and Fugue in A minor. Stefan Maier undertook the restoration of Opus 21 in collaboration with Taylor and Boody under the guidance of John Brombaugh. Mr. Brombaugh quotes, “The triplets, opus 20, 21 and 22, are three of my best instruments,” to which Ms. Belcher adds, “The restoration of Opus 21 along with the chapel’s excellent acoustics make it a joy to play.” Please attend this unique event and support the choral scholar program at St. Mark’s Episcopal Chapel at the University of Connecticut.
