Swords to Plowshares*, a group co-founded by Retired Episcopal Bishop Jim Curry, transforms dismantled guns into garden tools and other useful items like jewelry.
Bishop Curry will bring his portable forge to Trinity Parish Episcopal Church, 300 Main Street, Old Wethersfield, on Sunday June 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
People are invited to watch, and take a few swings at the malleable metal. Items will be on sale at the event. Bishop Curry will lead the demonstration and preach at our 9:30 Eucharist.
