Hot Cat Jazz Band returns for their annual appearance at St. James’ Church. The band will lead music during the celebration of the Holy Eucharist on Pentecost Sunday, June 8th, at 10:15 am. The Rev. Canon Kevin Olds will celebrate and preach. We will be joined by the Lutheran Church of St. Mark (Glastonbury). A community breakfast will be served beginning at 9 am. We welcome you to be part of this special celebration.

Celebrating the Feast Day of Absalom Jones St. Paul’s on the Green, Norwalk
This year, the Episcopal Church in Connecticut will celebrate the official feast day of the Rev. Absalom Jones, the first African American Episcopal priest on Sunday, February 16, at 4 pm. Join with the ECCT Racial Healing, Justice, and Reconciliation Ministry Network and fellow Episcopalians from across the diocese for a special service of Holy Eucharist at St. Paul’s on the Green, 60 East Ave., Norwalk CT.
The Rev. Dr. Tommy Watson will be the preacher, and The Rt. Rev. Jeff Mello will be the chief Celebrant. Together, we will honor the life and ministry of Absalom Jones and reflect on the enduring legacy of Black Episcopal saints whose faith and witness continue to inspire. Following the service, all are welcome to gather for a festive reception, offering an opportunity to connect, share stories, and celebrate in community. We hope to see you there!

The annual tradition of Advent Lessons & Carols will be presented on Sunday, December 8, at 10:15 am. The service will include music sung by the Adult Choir and guest singers, especially music by women authors and composers. Holy Eucharist will be celebrated by the Rev. Matt Handi.
