“Ahavah,” which means love in Hebrew, is a ballet that tells a story of hope in the midst of despair.  An imaginative retelling of the story of Jesus’ birth, this production has been running for 19 years, and is now becoming a local Christmas tradition in Middletown, CT. Ahavah explores the mystery of  Christmas, demonstrating how love can shine brightly even in the darkest of times.  This is a magical show for the whole family that will surely lift your spirit!

Decoda in Concert at St. Ann’s, Old Lyme

Saint Ann’s Episcopal Church in Old Lyme is pleased to host Decoda, an affiliate ensemble of Carnegie Hall, in concert on Sunday, November 24, at 2:00pm. The concert is entitled Common Threads: Tracing Tradition through the Sounds of Folk Music. It will feature the music of composers inspired by folk traditions: Anton Arensky, Ernö Dohnányi, George and Edgar Meyer, and more.

Decoda, Musical Masterworks’ Ensemble-in-Residence, will have just come off of a week of workshop residencies at a variety of nonprofits and schools on the shoreline, including Waterford Country School, Fitch High School and Vista, a nonprofit creating community for neurologically diverse adults. They are pleased to offer a FREE formal concert at Saint Ann’s to conclude their week in residence here.
The concert will be at 2:00; all are invited. A reception with the musicians will follow the concert.
