Let Us Pray

Into your hands, O merciful Savior, we commend your servant. Acknowledge, we humbly beseech you, sheep of your own fold, lambs of your own flock, sinners of your own redeeming. Receive her into the arms of your mercy, into the blessed rest of everlasting peace, and into the glorious company of the saints in light. Amen.

May the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Patricia Cutler Joy

August 21, 1935 – June 10, 2025

The Reverend Patricia Cutler Joy died on June 10, 2025. To listen well is a great gift and the Rev. Patricia Cutler Joy listened with her whole being in her service as an agent of the Lord. Pat’s given gift was to be still in the presence of another’s pain. She held hearts and hands as she helped others to heal in her role as an RN at Hartford Hospital and McLean Health Center in Simsbury, CT, as well as for 25 years as a nurse at an alcohol and drug detox center in Hartford, CT.

As a lifelong faithful and spirit-filled Episcopalian, she continued her healing journey, studying and becoming an ordained Episcopal Deacon at the age of 55, serving at St. Andrew’s in Enfield, CT, until returning to serve at her heart center: Trinity Episcopal Church in Tariffville, CT.
