Part-time Coordinator for Religious Education and Community Connectivity
Description
The Coordinator for Religious Education will be responsible for all aspects of religious education for our children and youth. The successful candidate will develop, in combination with the pastor, a program for religious education for our elementary-aged children and some consistent connectivity with children middle and high school age. The candidate will foster connections with community organizations to enhance the reach of St. James into the Farmington village and the wider Farmington/Unionville area. The candidate will be in charge of developing St. James’ social media presence to the end of letting more people know what is going in our community, specifically on Facebook and establishing a presence on Instagram. Position can be adapted to talents/experience of the candidate. The starting salary is $20,000 per year for up to 15-20 hours per week.

Qualifications
Experience working with children in a church or community setting. A strong faith life and desire to share faith in God through Christ with others. Patience and compassion for and with children and families. Experience planning programs and/or working with curriculum for children is a plus. Being an independent and creative thinker and a team player are skills the succesful applicant will bring to the table. Conversant with social media platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram.
