Confirmation

Confirmation is a significant sacramental rite in the Episcopal church.

Many young people and adults find it a profound opportunity to deepen their relationship with God, affirm their identity as an Episcopalian, and recommit to participating in God’s mission. There are resources available from The Episcopal Church to assist your parish or region’s collaboration in these formation opportunities.

If you are a member of a parish or worshipping community in ECCT, and are interested in Confirmation, please reach out to your parish clergy person or a lay leader in your parish (Christian Formation Coordinator, Vestry Warden, etc). If you have questions about resources for leading or participating in Confirmation preparation, please reach out to Marsha Adell, Program Director for Lay Vocations & Ministry. If your parish has an upcoming bishop visitation scheduled, and you have questions about Confirmation, please reach out to Jeanette Wheeler, Program Assistant to the Bishop Suffragan & Events Coordinator.

They realized they wanted a confirmation program they couldn’t find. So they made it themselves. For more than 10 years, Confirm not Conform has been used by hundreds of congregations throughout the United States, Canada, and beyond.
